Isótopos estáveis em reconstrução paleodietética na costa do Brasil: recomendações para uma agenda de pesquisa arqueológica

Resumen

Este trabalho tem como objetivos: a) refletir sobre o potencial de aplicação dos métodos de análise isotópica para o estudo arqueológico da dieta, e b) fazer algumas recomendações para abordar problemas arqueológicos com estes métodos em populações pré-coloniais e históricas no litoral do Brasil. Para tanto, fazemos uma introdução aos princípios gerais dos métodos isotópicos e suas aplicações, e discutimos o avanço atual do conhecimento sobre a matéria na região, formulando algumas ideias sobre a diversidade de temas que podem ser abordados em pesquisas futuras com isótopos estáveis.
